In theory, it'll work if you set the path to something like /usr/local/ 
texlive/2008/bin/universal-darwin (or wherever tlmgr, kpsewhich etc.  
are installed) in TLU's prefs.  I haven't had time to download TL and  
test this, so I'm curious to know if/when anyone tries it.
