Hello,

The bad way . This way is available only with texshop or textmate.
Where is the portability ?

  Do you think to work
  with applemac encoding and specific syntax is a good way ??

Do you  try to use this syntax with Texmaker !!

the good syntax, it's

%!TEX TS-program = latex

With Texhop ? you need : %!TEX TS-program = latex
but it' easy to compile with TeX+Ghostscript without this line
