[OS X TeX] splitindex.pl: coomand not found

Hi all,

On a OS X 10.6.2 with MacTeX 2008, I tried to use

splitindex.pl foo.idx

and got

-bash: splitindex.pl: command not found

although, splitindex.pl is available at two directories on my system:

/usr/local/texlive/2008/texmf-dist/source/latex/splitindex/splitindex.pl
/usr/local/texlive/2008/texmf-dist/scripts/splitindex/perl/splitindex.pl

How could I use it?
