You are of course absolutely correct. As I just wrote in a P.S. to my
response to Dyballa, I should have written i-installer and TeXShop.
After the Fink fiasco, at a time when I knew less than nothing
TeXwise and was still very TeX impressionable, I came to use TeXShop
to mean "TeX out of the box". (See my piece in PracTeX.)
