[OS X TeX] problem with komascript's pagestyle and texLive 2008

I've been using komascript without any problems under gwTeX. Now I am  
under TeXLive 2008 (Basic) and try to typeset this minimal example:

it runs smoothly as long as I keep the \pagestyle command out.  
Bringing it in results in this terminal output:

Running xelatex on this minimal example under Aquamacs results in a  
segmentation fault.
Does anybody have a clue what is causing this problem? The same file  
just ran fine on another texlive 2007 machine yesterday.
