[OS X TeX] No output with LaTeXit and Mac Tex 2008?

No, white on a transparent background. LaTeXiT can actually change the  
colour of the displayed background once the luminosity of the colour  
of the lettering crosses 50%, maintaining maximum contrast. The  
resulting pdf has white text without background.
