In Terminal you could use epstopdf. To see some documentation type

man  epstopdf

in a Terminal window.

You could also consider using the epstopdf package in your document with

\usepackage{epstopdf}

Documentation for this can be found with  the command

texdoc epstopdf

in Terminal.

I am assuming you are using TexLive and using pdflatex
