... which is so buggy! Better leave it away. I still can't compile,
no answers to my bug reports arrive, and when I try to use an
installed CLisp RTE configure isn't able to recognise its own options:

	pete 229 /\ ./configure --help
`configure' configures xindy 2.3.1 to adapt to many kinds of systems.

	Usage: ./configure [OPTION]... [VAR=VALUE]...
	.
	.
	.
--enable-docs build and install documentation (default
is YES)
--enable-external-clisp Use an external CLISP instead of the one
in rte/
--clisp-path Where to search the external CLISP
--clisp-dir Where to seach the external CLISP library

	Some influential environment variables:
	.
	.
	.
Report bugs to <xindy-discuss at lists.sourceforge.net>.
	pete 230 /\ ./configure --disable-dependency-tracking --enable-
external-clisp --clisp-path=/sw/bin --clisp-dir=/sw/lib
	configure: error: unrecognized option: --clisp-path
Try `./configure --help' for more information.
	pete 231 /\ ./configure --disable-dependency-tracking --enable-
external-clisp --clisp-path /sw/bin --clisp-dir=/sw/lib
	configure: error: unrecognized option: --clisp-path
Try `./configure --help' for more information.
