Alain,
As Ross suggested, the only files I have on my system that contain
"setdefaultleftmargin" are:
/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf-dist/source/latex/paralist/paralist.dtx
/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf-dist/tex/latex/paralist/paralist.sty
/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf-doc/doc/english/tlc2/3-3-18.ltx
You might want to quickly do an MD5 of those files to see if they
match with what we have:
MD5 (/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf-dist/source/latex/paralist/
paralist.dtx) = 824bc22d18759dd278d6ec012d3f1c3f
MD5 (/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf-dist/tex/latex/paralist/
paralist.sty) = 3f6ffd5c93ae0d11f6a016f56fd319e1
MD5 (/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf-doc/doc/english/tlc2/3-3-18.ltx) =
