take a look at "interaction"

from the terminal: "tex --help"

-interaction=STRING     set interaction mode (STRING=batchmode/ 
nonstopmode/
                           scrollmode/errorstopmode)

from the terminal: "man tex" gives a more comprehensive description
you certainly want to use nonstopmode
