I just learned to use TeX and beamer last summer, and am completely in love
with both. :)
That being said, I just define the color theme in the preamble of the beamer
document
\definecolor{williamspurple}{rgb}{.25,0,.50}
\usecolortheme[named=williamspurple]{structure}
defining the purple of Williams College (as suggested by the name). I guess
that's not as convenient or efficient as calling on a package, though, if
you need to use it often.
Well, that's my two cents.
Cheers,
sunmi
