To understand the file size of a .key file, simply right-click on it 
and select show package contents. This will give you a better idea of 
what is causing the .key file to have the size it has.

Similarly, for a pdf file, in Acrobat you can use the function PDF 
Optimizer (under Advanced) and then select Audit Space Usage.
