[OS X TeX] Cross referencing

I started working on the third edition of my lattice theory book and  
I came across an interesting problem.

Say, I am in Chapter IV, Section 3. Then Lemma 6 of this section is  
referenced in this section as Lemma 6. In the rest of Chapter IV, it  
is referenced as Lemma 3.6. Outside of Chapter IV, it is referenced  
as Lemma IV.3.3.

Is there a package that would do this for me?
