The TTF file has to be put into an area where TeX searches for fonts.  
TrueType fonts are found in $TTFONTS, in .../fonts/truetype/<optional  
directory>. When you've installed the font file in the system's area / 
usr/local/gwTeX or /usr/local/texlive, then you'll need to run

	sudo -H maketexlsr

or

	sudo -H texhash
