[OS X TeX] A bug in LaTeX ?

Any time the file I want to LaTeX contains something as

\begin{equation*}
[Some equation]
\end{equation*}
Some text...

and TeX choose to end the page after \end{equation*}, there is a  
blank line on the following page, and "Some text..." is printed on  
the second line of the page.

Has anyone already come across this problem ?
