svn is open source, ie, free. It apparently comes with Leopard. A 
compiled binary can be found here:
http://homepage.mac.com/martinott/

By default it is accessed via the command line. But there are a number 
of GUI clients, a good free Mac one is:

There are other non-free Mac clients:
