Only gwTeX installs them, not MacTeX.
For copyright issues, it's not possible to include copies of the OS X
fonts involved (Baskerville, Didot, Georgia, Hoefler Text, Optima,
Verdana, Gill Sans, Futura, Futura Condensed, Helvetica Neue, Lucida
Grande, American Typewriter) in TeX itself in .ttf format (in /texmf/
fonts/truetype).
Instead, the Fondu software, for which an i-Package exists, is used to
convert the fonts to .ttf format at the time gwTeX is installed.
