Thanks Victor: it seems that latex-beamer 3.07 has not yet been linked 
from its major page at <https://sourceforge.net/projects/latex-beamer/> 
sourceforge. It does show at:

<https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=92412>

Let's hope that our TeX distributions will upgrade to it. Otherwise, what 
are we supposed to do to upgrade to it?
