[OS X TeX] finding missing braces

(Actually I assume it's only visually apparent where the unmatched 
*open* braces are...)

How robust is this?  Does it deal with nested braces correctly?

It seems that this behaviour could also be put into the syntax 
colouring of TeXShop.  Anyone?
