Yes, this works: thanks. By reading about \raggedbottom in Lamports's 2ed, 
it seems the default, unless twoside option is used. Then, because a deadline 
above my head, the big question to me is if to leave the warning 
unresolved: sorry for thinking loudly, but may be somebody has experience 
and advise :)
