Howdy,

Did you choose the Aspell dictionary (e.g. English(United States) 
(Aspell)) in TeXShop's Spelling Dictionary Chooser Edit->Spelling  
(Cmd-:) once it's active in the CocoAspell Preference pane? Once you  
do that it will be active in all applications.
