Well, unless at some point you spend more time watching the
spinning beachball than typesetting.  And then TeXshop crashes.

It is a VERY stupid and annoying bug.  I often work with several
open documents at the same time, and it really disrupts my
workflow having to open all these files several times a day...

The integration in TeXShop is nice, I do not want to use another
editor or return to emacs.  I really do not want.  But because
of the memory leaks, random crashes, and usability problems (the
wrong behavior of the find/replace box w.r.t. tab and shift/tab),
it is quickly becoming a bit annoying :-(
