I agree completely, my version milestones are currently:

1.0: Choose a group of journals by field... physics, chemistry, p.  
chem, bio etc. so that users don't have to scroll through journals  
from other fields where they aren't working.

2.0: Users can add journals on their own in an easy, intuitive way  
(on the back panel etc.).

3.0: Who knows, I'm open to suggestions.

Of course it is released as open source so adding your own journals  
is straightforward though it does involve editing a few lines of html  
and javascript. For the time being I'll add instructions on how to do  
this to the download page for ambitious users.
