You have to invoke this engine file as

	~/Library/TeXShop/Engines/hlatex.engine

Usually ~/Library/TeXShop/Engines is not in bash's PATH, so it can't  
find the engine file and you have to give bash the complete path to  
the engine file.

And the command, that would executed from the engine file is:

	htlatex

(seven characters: h t l a t e x)
