[OS X TeX] The Future of TeX on Mac OS X

Even simpler: download and install the MacTeX package <http:// 
www.tug.org/mactex/>; avoid all the bleeding edge stuff.  Update  
TeXShop and BibDesk as flagged within the programs.  Otherwise, just  
wait until all the dust settles.  The standard MacTeX package works  
*very* well, and includes almost everything anyone could need.  What  
it misses you can download and install from CTAN (and, except for  
bleeding edge stuff, all works well).
