I built a copy of xindy for Mac OS X (PPC) last year; if you'd like
to try it, grab it from
http://www.jfkew.plus.com/xindy-macosx.html
and see if it works for you. I am *not* a xindy user and can't offer
any help; I just built this because people seemed to be having
problems getting it to compile on OS X.
