Folks,

New MacTeX packages are available at

	www.tug.org/~koch/NewPackages.html

Here are details:

MacTeX_Additions has been revised to contain the latest LaTeXiT
(79.2 MB)

teTeX, Gerben Wierda's old distribution, is unchanged. (253.3 MB)

gwTeX has been upgraded to Gerben's 12/31/06 version, with the
hyphenation fix reported today by Joshua Smith. (362.1 MB)

TeXLive-2005 has been revised so files added to ~/Library/texmf
will be recognized without running texhash. If the previous version
added an index to ~/Library/texmf, this index should be removed. The
index will be named ls-R. (518.4 MB)

TeXLive-2006 was added. This is the full 2006 version of TeXLive,
including xetex. Recall that TUG has not yet released this version,
so there may be difficulties, which should immediately be reported to
the list. The packages have been released now for additional testing.
(680.2 MB)

TeXLiveMTS-2006 was added. TeXLive organizes its files in
"collections." The TeXLive installer allows the user to choose a
"distribution scheme"; each such scheme installs a certain subset of
all collections. This distribution contains the "teTeX scheme, with
xetex added." and has been produced for users who don't want to
download the full distribution. (372.6 MB)

All distributions except TeXLive-2005 contain xeTeX. All should run
on PowerPC and Intel machines and on systems 10.3 and higher.

Some of these distributions are present for reference, but not
recommended. Users wanting to use one of Gerben Wierda's
distributions should install gwTeX rather than the older teTeX. Users
wanting to use TeXLive should probably install a TeXLive-2006 version
rather than the TeXLive-2005 version. The two TeXLive-2006
distributions count as one distribution and will only be recognized
once by the TeXDist Pref Pane.
