For now, I haven't.

One thing might be relevant: I have a specific package for Bulgarian font
which is not on CTAN (but it is very good), and I should place it at some
appropriate location. Perhaps somehow and somewhere in the
(1) ~/Library/texmf/tex/
or
(2) /usr/local/texlive/texmf-local

The package is called bgtex-v3. I run test files inside the directory
bgtex, and they typeset ok, but I got a bunch of font specific files, like
grmn0500.600pk, grmn0500.mf, grmn0500.tfm, etc.

It seems to me that the option (2) may have the drawback of deleting the
font with each update. But on the other hand, it may have some more
important pluses unknown to me.

I recall there were already discussions on this subject on the list, but
finding them is another matter... So, i simply do not know how to deal
with this package.
