The gtamacfonts.map file should not be activated in updmap.cfg at
all. GTAmacfonts only works in pdfTeX and is activated through pdfTeX
primitives in the ConTeXt and LaTeX setups.

The TeX i-Package makes sure gtamacfonts.map is deacivated in updmap.cfg
