I don't know if this is related to package stability, version
mismatches, or what, but I fear every updating *any* part of my MacTeX
installation due to the hours of tweaking it's taken me to get things
to work. As I'm well into my dissertation, the last thing I need is
to upgrade something, only to discover I've borked a manual tweak that
would take hours to rediscover and reimplement.
Am I the only person using MacTeX who did *not* have a
straightforward install that worked from the start? If not, how are
you managing your tweaks when you upgrade?
