Hello

I'm a novice and hoping someone will be able to help me.

I want to write a formula that has words rather than numbers. In words:

The MPS is equal to the sum of Skill V + Task ID + Task Sig, divided
by three and the product (of that) is mulitiplied by Autonomy and
then multiplied by feedback

  What I've done so far is this:

$MPS = \lbrace \frac{\lgroup{Skill Variety + Task Identity + Task
Significance}\rgroup}{3}\rbrace \times Autonomy \times Feedback$

And while it works (ie compiles), it doesn't look great.

I've tried  \[ and \] and
\begin{equation}
\end{equation}

\begin{math}
\end{math}

all without success (they won't compile without erroring)

Many thanks in anticipation

Bridget
