Hallo,
I am using the script(?) epstopdf for conversion of eps->pdf image
files. All this has to do with my attempt to send a "clean" pdf-file
(no colours etc) to the printing press. (I am using \usepackage
{epstopdf} to call epstopdf but that is another issue)
When I try to pass to ghostscript options like this (advice from
Juergen.Bausa):
--gsopt=-dCompatibilityLevel=1.3
my epstopdf tells me:
[ibook-daniel:~/Documents/StudierbarkeitAuswertung/Bilder] daniel%
epstopdf -d --gs --gsopt=-dCompatibilityLevel=1.3 A1_A4.eps > test.pdf
Unknown option: gsopt
EPSTOPDF 2.9.5gw, 2006/01/29 - Copyright 1998-2006 by Sebastian Rahtz
et al.
Syntax: epstopdf [options] <eps file>
On the other hand, looking at the readme at
http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/support/epstopdf/ says that there is
indeed an option like
--gsopt=<a>: add <a> to the gs command line (default: no
What is going on? I think that I am using this: /usr/local/texlive/
2007/bin/powerpc-darwin/epstopdf Isn't that the one that is described
at http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/support/epstopdf/ ?
Thanks for any help
Daniel (confused by all these command lines...)
