[OS X TeX] using SubEthaEdit for simple LaTeX-editing jobs

Dear list,

for a larger project we need to edit several tex-documents wituh  
several people at a time. I tested SubEthaEdit a bit and it seems  
that its functionality for collaboration is really useful. BUT:

Is there a way to have someting like texshop's LaTeX-Panel or so to  
have a bit assistance while editing a tex document? It would be  
necessary only for a few things, like selecting text and typing "`"'  
left and righth to get "`selected text"' ....

Apple Script?

Any help would really be great!
