[OS X TeX] Is this geometry behavior correct?

By the way, the only geometry.cfg files I have, by default, in my  
gwTeX tree are the xelatex variant in the proper .../tex/xelatex/...  
branch and a sample one in the .../doc/... branch; nothing in .../tex/ 
latex/... branch.

I've put the geometry.cfg file I created (based on the one in the .../ 
doc/... version) in my personal tree (~/Library/texmf/tex/latex/...)  
since I've only used dvips+distiller and not dvipdfm, etc., when I  
need to go along that path (e.g., including eps files or pstricks).  
Since others using the same machine might need other processing using  
the personal tree makes lots of sense.

Also note that you can override almost anything set in geometry.cfg  
(I think what is done for xelatex is an exception---am I right?) by  
using optional arguments to the loading of the geometry package; e.g.  
loading geometry with \usepackage[dvipdfm]{geometry}, as would be  
used before, still works even with dvips as the initial default (with  
automatic detection of pdftex).
