Hi,

There have been quite a lot and good discussions about where to place the
local additions. But I am not quite certain where to put the documentation
of the local additions in the upper trees.

Am I right in the following summary of the local repositories and the
concomitant documentations?

in gwTeX:

- for user additions:
/usr/local/gwTeX/texmf.pkgs/

= for *.sty files:
/usr/local/gwTeX/texmf.pkgs/latex

= for documentation files:
/usr/local/gwTeX/texmf.pkgs/doc/latex

- for automatically generated files:
/usr/local/gwTeX/texmf.local

in MacTeX's TeXLive-07:

- for user additions:
/usr/local/texlive/texmf-local/
(with subdirectories latex and doc/latex)

- for automatically generated files
/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf-var/
