Didn't you start in TeX Live 2007? Then it would be /usr/local/
texlive/2007, because configure automatically guesses that this
PREFIX directory contains the sub-directories include and libraries.
The lcdftools binaries will be installed in /usr/local/bin ...
A very handy command is this one:
kpsewhich --show-path=map | tr : '\012' | sort
