[OS X TeX] Request re testing of TeX Live i-Package

I got this failure:

cp: /Users/fstengel/Library/i-Installer/i-Packages/texlive.ii2/ 
updmap.cfg.tl2006: No such file or directory
### texlive.configure: failed to install new updmap.cfg. Bailing out...

Actually the offending file had not been downloaded (? ? in the Pkg  
contents view) I had used the expert mode and had selected everything  
but the i386 binaries... I downloaded the file by using the download  
and inspect button and the install went smoothly. Unfortunately, I  
forgot to save the report (very silly)...

By the way (I gather these question are TeXLive specific)
-- Why the xu- prefixes for the various hyphenation files?
-- Why the change in the order the hyphenation files are given?
-- Are the font maps initially listed for fonts whose PS,MF drawing  
files are supplied?
