If you install the (stable) unison app via the above Mac binaries link
(<http://www.cs.haifa.ac.il/%7Eshuly/unison/unison-2.13.16-mac- 
osx-10.4-gui.zip>),
you don't need to install Ocaml as well.
It is just an app to be dragged in the /Applications folder.
