pstricks is not that hard to learn. The difficult part is to  
understand how to typeset a minimal example on the own computer where  
one needs to use pdftricks when pdftex is preferred way to typeset  
tex-documents. Fancy pstricks drawings/charts/diagrams/... can then  
be found on the websites http://sarovar.org/projects/pstricks/ or  
http://tug.org/PSTricks/main.cgi/ There is also a manual that comes  
in four parts, the filename is pst-usr1 .. pst-usr4, maybe google  
will find that quickly for you.
