[OS X TeX] OT: Backup software

I am truly overwhelmed by the response, both by its (expected) quality 
and its (unexpected) quantity.

I am going to have to think a lot about all of this and, once I have 
digested it, I shall report.

P.S. One funny thing: my backup drive is a LaCie and, of course, I never 
even looked at the disk that came with it.
