[OS X TeX] Re: eqn. numbering when using array

The problem is, I do not know how add a bracket encompassing the two 
equations (plus some text) in front of my two equations. An example I 
found for this in the amsmath manual

\begin{equation*}
\left.\begin{aligned}
B'&=-\partial\times E,\\
E'&=\partial\times B - 4\pi j,
\end{aligned}
\right\}
\qquad \text{Maxwell's equations}
\end{equation*}

did not like me adding labels to both equations.
