[OS X TeX] TeX based on TeX Live release

when I run texdoc using the new system it is not finding any
documentation. For example:
texdoc natbib
returns the 'Can't find documentation' message, as do
texdoc hyperref
texdoc graphicx
etc.

Is there something I need to reconfigure?

I have not removed the tetex installation yet.
