[OS X TeX] Looking texh4t and OpenDocument feedback

Hi everybody,

since there now is an Alpha Version of NeoOffice 2 which is based on
OpenOffice 2 and supports the OpenDocument format, I started playing
around with tex4ht a bit. My main motivation is to get my PhD thesis
in a form which can be handled easily be non-Latex users. I don't
know yet if my publisher supports LaTeX and I'm also thinking far
ahead of possible translations into other languages. After a bit of
tweaking I actually managed to generat a swx file which NeoOffice =20
could open. At the moment, this file doesn't look so nice: No
graphics have been imported, strange things happend with some special
characters and the first letter of every bibliography entry was cut
off. I'm sure that I can improve the result, but I wanted to know
from other people who have experience with this setup: Is this a
working solution for long, complex documents, is it actually worth
totry to finetune my document?

TIA

simon
