[OS X TeX] Turning eps to pdf problems

By making the programme report bad usage. Many (UNIX) utilities react  
to arguments like --help, -h, -?, -x ... with a message describing  
how to use it correctly. /System/Library/Printers/Libraries/convert  
is different: only when you invoke it without any arguments it tells  
you how to use it!

The second way is for example the programme strings, which reads the  
text like parts of the binary programme file given as an argument.

The third way is to get and understand the source. (convert's source  
seems to be a company secret)

The fourth way is something like 'googling' ... success not guaranteed!


I met /System/Library/Printers/Libraries/convert when the Japanese  
Carbon Emacs team tried to make it print buffers etc. like a Mac OS X  
application some years ago (CUPS came to Mac OS X in Jaguar, 10.2).
