[OS X TeX] Freeze

This problem may serve as a reminder that one should always have a
clone of the start up disk containing the latest trusted
configuration of the OS, so that in case of a botched update one has
a perfectly working fall back.

Thus, one should have two extra hard disks for a back up strategy,
one which is the clone of the start up disk, and a second for the
daily back up of the home directory.
