Weird.  I have the latest gwTeX and TeXShop and have no problem
typesetting a file called "tesi di laurea.tex" (with not one
but TWO spaces - it's my diploma thesis because that's the last
thing I wrote in plain TeX and not in LaTeX - 9 years ago).
