[OS X TeX] two-column layout with different, separate content

gentle persons,

my workgroup is thinking to produce a small brochure - the layout  
will be 2 columns, landscape, two-sided. The left column should  
always hold a text in one language, while the right column holds a  
text in a different language *in principle it's like the right column  
on any page represents the translation of *most of* the content in  
the left column of that page*. Maybe anyone here is aware of a nice  
solution to achieve this in LaTeX/TeX and can kindly provide some  
references, comments, or suggestions? Thanks a lot.
