Howdy,
I wonder... How do you have System Preferences->Keyboard & Mouse-
>Keyboard Shortcuts and Full keybaord access set up? I've got `Text
boxes and lists only'. If I choose `All controls' I get your
behavior. Try pressing Ctl-F7 and see if that changes the behavior of
using the Tab key.
