[OS X TeX] can't write on log file error

Apparently, it was some strange (to me, at least) permissions  
problem.  I created a new folder in the new account, moved the  
contents of the folder I had imported into the new account into this  
new folder, and changed the permissions of the content-files so that  
the new account owns them.  Now I can typeset those documents with no  
difficulty.  I don't really understand it, but it seems to have  
worked.   Now if I can just fix the font access problem I somehow  
introduced trying to sort out this problem earlier today....
