[OS X TeX] Hell cools down... (slightly)

Given all the talk about Textures here over the years I guess someone
should note that there is now an alpha release of the software for OS
X. But as the release notes indicate, it really *does* seem to be an
alpha release: see

For example, we have: "There are no \special commands, therefore no
illustrations, color, PostScript, etc. extensions. Virtual fonts are
not supported. There is only the bare minimum of editor function, no
Synchronicity, no document context, no ability to change the page
view magnification. The Print command prints the entire document; to
print selected pages, preview to PDF, then print."
